Well, hello weekend-ers!
The update on my daddy is that he made it home, and I think he is more comfortable here on the home-front than at the hospital. My mom, however, is a big, tangled ball of stress. We had medical supplies delivered last night, and a nurse has been popping in, but for the most part, it is Mama’s duty to administer all the tubes and shots and such to his healing body. We really appreciate your prayers during this time, and I really believe that they are making a difference; although, Daddy is clearly still pretty sick, he definitely looks a lot better. Keep them coming! Especially, lift up a prayer for my mama’s nerves. I’m heading back to my college town tonight, so it will just be her and Daddy. Luckily, my brother and sister don’t live but a little ways down the road. One of my biggest concerns is that Mama will keep taking off of work to make sure Daddy has the 24-hour care, which obviously has it’s financial consequences.
I will say one certain thing: it is pretty precious to me to be able to see the devoted love and care of a spouse demonstrated right here in my own home.
If you feel led to send words my parent’s way, you can email me at yourfriendamber@yahoo.com .
I will be sure to deliver them. If you rather hand write something, email me at the address above, and I will get the mailing address to you.
Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to do this. Your kind heart is such a blessing.
P.s. I cooked a fabulous, quick, and easy dinner last night for Jon and Mama. I will be sharing next week sometime! Stay tuned!
