You may ask. Well, Reader-Friends, besides being terribly busy with school, I have been taking on some pretty challenging life feats. For instance, rock-climbing and roughing it in the woods! Last weekend I went with a group from my university to Jamestown, Arkansas. And as promised, here’s the recap! Remember, last week I shared how I was nervous about not knowing anyone on the trip? Well, we all became instant buddies!!! Be prepared, there are many pictures coming at ya!
As the sun was setting we were headed into the woods.
My new friend Bobby showed us girls how to build a “manly” fire.
Our kitchen:
Dinner over an open fire. NOM!
Our instructor Todd giving us the how to’s on rock climbing before we headed off to the cliffs-
Hiking to the rocks…Not going to lie hiking was even exhausting, especially coming back up!
Todd and Bobby demonstrating how to rappel down. If you are an adrenaline addict then I would recommend this little activity. Noting like hanging off a cliff backwards to get your heart pumping!
Yours truly climbing back up
Way up there! Can you believe I’m getting a college credit for all this fun?
Belaying my friend on the rocks-
Bobby being a beast-lead climbing with NO shoes!!!
Our mascot for the weekend! (we found him on the dirt road)
New friends!
After the first day of climbing, we had some chill time at the campsite, so we played washers. Bobby and I kind of dominated! We did a lot of trash talking and then grabbed a “victory stick.” Here is the victory stick, oh and our friend T in the background because she is burning with jealousy:
The end result of labor day weekend? New friends, an amazingly fun time, a good kick off to getting back in shape, and on the down side, this:
Calamine lotion all over my bit up ankles, scratches and bruises all over my legs. No skirts for me for awhile, but it was so worth it!
There will be more pictures on Facebook (you can connect through my FB button on this page), but for those of you that have had enough, I shall end it here. Before I go, I want to encourage all my Reader-Friends to step out of their comfort zone once in awhile, to try new things, or even to do things you love more often, and lastly to not be afraid to connect with people you do not know, because seriously, you will come out a better person or at least appreciate life a little more because of it.

Awe love this post! Turtle is too cute for words! I'm always up for something new , especially requires getting dirty. I grew up on family farm land. It is not uncommon to hear rooster crow early in the morning, calling a neighbor that their cows are blocking the road and escaped out. My favorite deer season is all 4 seasons due to family having a bed out in the woods behind a barn! To shucking corn snapping green beans etc but we werent allowed to have 4 wheelers but leArning to ride a bike on a dirt road is like a different story! I hope you get some rest and heal quickly! Glad your back in blog land :)
oh my word, what an adventure!! good for you :)
Good grief, what an adventure that looks like!!! That would be a hard class for me! Ha!
