Making an Exception

***If you missed the giveaway post, click here! Entry is open until 12am July 21st!***

After a few posts in the beginning of my “blog life” I made a vow to not make my page a plethora of rant posts. I’m making an exception, because I know that sometimes a good rant, if a common complaint, among a community of gals can serve as therapy. It’s like a good wine! Oh, excuse me…I mean whine. A good whine among fellow sufferers helps you leave your troubles behind, right where you let it all out, and you move on.

I have never looked forward to the fall semester so much! Have you ever taken summer classes? Oh. My. Stars. Okay, may sound like extreme whining, but I’m not involved in a measly class or two.  I have five, FIVE, stinking, summer classes! I wake up, fit in a VERY short run (mostly because it’s barely light out when I go and I’m afraid of getting snatched), go to class, come home, sit in front of a book or the computer for 8 hours doing homework and online class, eat once in awhile, and go to bed.

You know what all that equals? Absolutely no real social life.
And this is where I am thankful for social networking, which in some form or another (FB, Twitter, and/or Blogger) are usually pulled up on tabs underneath my work. Hopefully, this explains my frequent presence online to some of you who, in observing how much activity has been taking place on FB and such, think I never get off the computer. This is how it goes: I finished that assignment! Reward time! And I proceed to comment here and there on FB, or tweet  tweet, or read a couple blog posts!

Of course, fall will be full of classes and stress too, but that is when it is supposed to happen! Get what I’m saying? It’s summertime! I should be swimming in a pool, not drowning in tedious assignments.

More of a visual type?

This is me (not literally):

This should be me:

So, sisters, I’m done now and I’m leaving my little fit right here on this post and moving on now. I have to! Got finals, you know!

I would like your advice, though. I am pressed for time, so I can’t take very long breaks, but I feel they are crucial! What are some short refreshing regiments for a summer of looking out the window?

Amber Marie

P.S. Don’t forget to join in on the giveaway!
