Super-Fly

I’m a flyboy’s girl, if you haven’t heard Reader-Friends! What can I say? The cliché is true for me: I like a man in uniform; furthermore, I like a man with talent (as one of my very best friends says); and truly, I love a man that can literally fly my little grounded tail into the heavens. Here we are-

One thing I have learned about dating a pilot is that I must be the eyes on the road when there are wings in the sky. Jon is constantly looking into the clouds, ooohing and ahhhhing over the aircraft flying over. Then he says to me, “do you see that? That’s a djfsljfosjdofjo908308r03wif!” Okay, obviously that’s not the name of a plane, but it might as well be; I am so impressed by how he memorizes all the letters and names that go along with how the tail of an aircraft appears and such.

Saturday was very special for this girl. Jon took me to the air show in our area. And it was quite a show, indeed! Here’s a little peak of what I got see:

Blue Angels, Millington, TN 2011- Posing solos

How freaking scary awesome is that? Those planes right there are called the Blue Angels, F/A-18’s are what they are, and the elite is who’s  flying them! The fleet is a part of the Naval military branch. You have seen Top Gun, right? No? You must go now. Netflix is calling your name!  (Come back as soon as you’re done, of course!)

We ended the long day with a Delta State University Aviation Alumni dinner.
