I Love you, Reader-Friends!

Hey Reader-Friends!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day! I hope that you're not a humbug for the heart day. It's a fun day, really it is...I know, I know. My opinion carries no weight since I have a man, but my Valentine's days are never anything extravagant and I still like the day just fine! I got so excited when I opened up my chic-fil-a sandwich to put some honey mustard on the fillet because my chicken was in the shape of a heart...on Valentine's day! It was so awesome! We're not celebrating having someone here, well at least I'm not...We're celebrating LOVE! The powerful bond among souls (and sometimes ideas) which often fuels much of the good in the world. Please tell me you love somebody! Family? Friends? God? Granted, I love giving gifts to my sweetie and doing something special if time and finances allow but I also love giving "happys" to my friends and family. I mean, Hello! Give this girl a holiday to give a card and I am on it!!! Anyway, for what it's worth I love you, Reader-Friend, and God loves you, unconditionally. Happy Valentine's Day!

So, I had a SPLENDID weekend! I finally was able to go home after being away for three weeks. I thought I was going to burst with Joy at the end of last week. I was so ready to see my Mama and Daddy! My Mama and I had big plans for Saturday!

The goal: find an antique steamer trunk to serve as a hope chest.
We found one at the last antique shop we went to but it was buried so my mama and daddy are going back this week to go pick it up!

This is a picture of one I found on google, but I will get one up of mine when I get it. Mine needs some fixing up, but I am excited about the renewing process.

Something very exciting happened in the midst of this treasure hunting. I realized a new passion! I love antiques!!! You should have seen my kid-in-a-candy-shoppe eyes upon entering the first antique shop. "I like that," "I love that!" "Oh, I want that," "gasp! I am so buying this!" The lady behind the counter was laughing her head off as my mother shook her head at my extravagant show of emotion. The lady probably was thanking God for the sheltered people in the world, apparently, yours truly. I definitely came home with some very prized treasures, which I happen to LOVE, so I am going to save them for tomorrow's WILW!

Mama spoils me so much! I certainly don't deserve it, but I always appreciate the special weekends she creates when I come home!
Not only did we go treasure hunting, but as I was picking up a few Valentine's goodies for my man, Mama was picking out Valentine's gifts for me. She bought me a very pretty pink, lace trimmed top (which I wore on V Day) and a beautiful sweater that I probably won't get to wear till next fall, but that is okay because isn't this weather gorgeous!? Mama also started my Willow Tree Angel collection with a lovely Angel of Love...
Angel of the Heart Trellis Ornament
I am so excited about this new collection. They are so elegant! Any one else collect these?
We had the soup and salad lunch at Olive Garden since we were trying to eat lightly. She had a nice family dinner planned for the night. Well, "operation eat light" failed. I slept very well after all the food I packed away that day!

I hope you all had a lovely a weekend as I did!

P.S. It's SSMT day!!! I am headed to Beth's blog for a post :) See you there?
